• We believe we should all invest in fewer but better quality garments and take care of them so that they last. By maximizing the lifecycle of individual pieces through buying reworked and reused garments, we are reducing waste. Rather than working on the unrelenting fashion calendar, we produce only a few specific styles at a time, which are then released throughout the year. This allows us to cut down on waste and maintain a design system where we create in direct response to the vintage pieces we are inspired by. We work with artisans in Delhi and Mumbai India where embroidery and embellishment techniques have been built over generations. These artisans unequaled talent brings our designs to life. We strive to ensure that the artisans who we work with are treated fairly.

  • The vast majority of our pieces are reclaimed vintage. In the process of up-cycling, we work with artisan communities in India because of their unmatched skills in embroidery and embellishment. We understand that this choice of sending our work to India adds to our carbon footprint and therefor, to the climate crisis. To take responsibility for this we have partnered with the Gold Standard, an organization that is dedicated to finding solutions to reduce carbon emissions, to invest in rural India. This is not a perfect solution, but it is a step in the right direction. Our promise to you is that we will continue to do our part to both support skilled artisans and to offset the negative impact our shipping has on the environment.
